Anusvara before sibilants... - ParamahaMsa or ParamahaNsa

Dear Mukesh,

In Sanskrit, an anusvar is always pronounced as a M, regardless of
what follows it. In Gujarati and other modern Indian languages, the
anusvar's pronounciation varies according to different rules. The rule
you mentioned about an anusvar being pronounced as a nasal (anunasika)
is just one of those rules. Hence, we have Paramahamsa.

RE: Pramukha pullinga shabdaaha

Hari Om Anuradha bhagini

krupaya "etat shlokasya arthaha kaha?" iti api preshayathu bhavaan.
  • This shloka lists the ten important pullinga shabdas along with the antha (Akaraantha, eekarantha etc.).
  • The rupas for other pullinga shabdaas can also be inferred from the shabdaas listed in the above shloka. When I say rupas, it is the different vibhakthi pratyayaas that the can be added to the shabda.
  • Let's take an example. The prathamaa vibhakthi of Raama shabda is Raamaha, Ramou, Raamaaha. The Krishna shabda which is also an aakaarantha shabda takes the form Krishnaha, Krishnou, Krishnaaha.
  • The shloka lists the other possible endings, (by far all the possible endings) - eekarantha, takarantha etc. If you know the rupas of one of the shabdas in the respective ending, it is possible to form the rupas for shabdas with the similar ending.

Adyatana Subhashita

kshamaa balam ashaktaanaam

shaktaanaam bhUshaNam kshamaa |
kshamaa vashikrute loke

kshamayA: kim na sidhyati ||

Word Meanings:

---------------------

Kshama – Forgivance

Balam – Strength

Ashakta – weak

Shakta – strong/mighty

Bhushana – ornament

Vashikarana – bring under one's control (in this context)

Loka – world

Sidhyati – be accomplished/succeed

Meaning:

-------------
Forgivance is the strength of the weak.
Forgivance is the ornament of the mighty.
If the world is conquered by forgivance, what cannot be accomplished by forgivance?
